What twitter list can do for you

The Twitter list are finally out there and people are starting to play with it. The principal idea of Twitter List is to help you organize the people you are following. I have few ideas in how I’m going to create my list. So far, I created the local (Palm Coast and Flagler County) and also my “Follow Friday“.

Another thing the Twitter List can do for you, is define your profile and help people to know who you are. In the past, when you wanted to follow somebody, you looked to their profile, website and few tweets. Now, you also can check their list and see what people think about that person too and helps you to know what kind of information you can get from that person.

What about if you are not in any list?

I noticed some interesting reactions in few of the people I’m following.

Tweet 1 “If I’m in nobody list that means nobody likes me?”

Tweet 2 “Nobody added me to a list yet. I feel invisible, nobody knows what I do”

My thought about this? This is the chance for you to change the way you tweet and be recognized as an expert in your field or show what kind of person you are. If you want to be known as the graphic designer, you should tweet about Photoshop and design tips, if you want to be seeing as a nice girl, you should be nice and polite, if you want to be a troll, you should move to your mother’s basement and start by hating everybody (oops). In my case because I want to be known as the “Sexiest Geek alive” I’ll posting some naked pictures (just kidding). By the way, don’t go overboard and start tweeting 24/7 about whatever you want to be known, you should have a balance (I’ll not post naked pics 24/7… kidding again). Another thing you can do is, try to talk with people and show a little who you are and what you do. You got the idea, now you can start working in your profile.
